Privacy Policy
Overview
Elecents is an expense-tracking app for manually entered financial information. Elecents does not connect to your bank accounts and does not import bank transactions.
Information You Provide
You may provide your email address, display name, account names, transaction details, categories, notes, recurring items, and sharing settings. Because Elecents is manually entered, you control what financial information you choose to add.
Sensitive Information You Should Not Enter
Elecents does not connect to bank accounts or need bank login credentials. Do not enter bank usernames or passwords, full bank account numbers, full debit or credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, PINs, security answers, authentication codes, or other credentials into Elecents. If you choose to enter sensitive information despite this warning, you accept the risks associated with storing that information in the service.
How Information Is Used
Your information is used to provide account, transaction, category, transfer, recurring item, profile, and sharing features. We may also use technical information to maintain, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal information.
Product Usage Analytics
Elecents uses Firebase Analytics, provided by Google, to understand general product usage and engagement, such as app launches, account creation, transaction entry, recurring-item use, report runs, and help-guide use. Elecents does not send transaction amounts, descriptions, notes, account names, category names, email addresses, user IDs, or other user-entered financial content to Analytics. Elecents does not use Analytics for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Shared Accounts
If you share an account, other members can see account information based on their role. Owners can manage sharing, editors can change account content, and viewers can read account content. Do not share accounts with people you do not trust.
Service Providers
Elecents uses Firebase services provided by Google for authentication, database storage, backend functions, app integrity checks, crash diagnostics, product usage analytics, and related operations. These providers may process information as needed to operate, understand, troubleshoot, and secure the app.
Data Retention
Elecents keeps information while your profile or shared accounts remain active, unless deleted sooner through app features. Deleted profiles and related records may be retained for a limited period so backend cleanup, security, fraud prevention, and recovery processes can complete.
Account Deletion
You can delete your profile from the app. Private accounts owned only by you are removed, your access to shared accounts is removed, and shared accounts you own must be transferred before deletion.

Security
Elecents uses Firebase Authentication, Firestore security rules, App Check, backend authorization checks, and HTTPS/TLS connections to protect access to account data. Firebase encrypts Firestore data at rest. Elecents does not currently use end-to-end or client-side encryption. This means that trusted service providers and authorized Elecents project administrators or backend systems may technically be able to access stored data when needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, or maintain the service. We limit access to authorized personnel and do not sell your personal information. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Elecents changes. Updated versions will be made available in the app or through the app listing.
